We open the new issue of the quarterly magazine «Our Faith» with the excerpts from the book «Benedict XVI. The Final Conversations with Peter Seewald” (2016), translated from German by I. Burak (p. 2–7).

We continue to publish translation of the treatise of St. John of the Cross “The Ascent of Mount Carmel” (translated from Spanish by S. Gresvi), as well as translation from English (by Y. Shedzko) of “The Four Loves” by C.S. Lewis (Section V) (p. 8–15).

Teacher of Sacred Scripture, Doctor of Biblical Studies M. Pashuk offers the readers article “Just Enoch”, which tells about one of the most interesting figures of the Bible (p. 16–19).

In essay “To See ‘The Last Supper’”by A. Dworakowski (translated from Polish by S. Rutkowska) you will read about one of the most famous works of Leonardo da Vinci (p. 31–33).

Restorer A. Shpunt in his article “NDF-2207” talks about the last painting by artist Jan Damel, returned to life in the restoration workshops of the National Art Museum (p. 34–37).

We propose an interview “How Do I Know that this Is the Voice of God?”of A. Sasnouskaya with Paweł Krupa OP, the director of Tomistic Institute in Warsaw (translated from Polish by J. Shedzko) (p. 38–41).

Historian A. Shpunt in his article “Sarmatian Milton” acquaints the readers with the life and work of J. Baka SJ (p. 42–45).

Interview of Z. Romanowsky with Hollywood screenwriter B. Nicolosi “Christians in Hollywood. Christians in Art” (translated from English by J. Shedzko) is dedicated to Christian themes in art (p. 59–63).

Article by L. Kaminskaya “Let’s Work, Brothers!” is dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the first People’s Artist of Belarus U. Galubok, who became a victim of Stalin’s repressions (p. 64–67).

Doctor of Art T. Gabrus in her article “The Light of Beauty” introduces the album “The Traditional Belarusian Costume” (2016), prepared for printing by M. Vinnikava and P. Bogdan (p. 68–69).

Famous Belarusian poetess D. Bichel offers the readers her new essay “All in a Word...”, where she reflects on the importance of word and native language (p. 70–71).

RESÜMEE

Die neue Nummer der Vierteljahreszeitschrift „Nasa vera“ („Unser Glaube“) beginnt mit Auszügen aus dem Buch „Benedikt XVI. Letzte Gespräche mit Peter Seewald“ (2016, aus dem Deutschen von I. Burak) (S. 2–7).

Fortgesetzt wird die Publikation der Übersetzung des Traktates „Aufstieg auf den Berg Karmel“ des heiligen Johannes vom Kreuz (aus dem Spanischen von S. Greswi) und des Buches „Vier Arten der Liebe“ von C. S. Lewis (Abschnitt V, aus dem Englischen von J. Schedsjko) (S. 8–15).

Die Dozentin der Heiligen Schrift und Doktorin der Bibelwissenschaft M. Paschuk berichtet den Leserinnen und Lesern in ihrem Artikel „Der gerechte Henoch“ über eine der interessantesten biblischen Gestalten (S. 16–19).

Dem 500. Jahrestag des belarussischen Buchdruckes und dem 125. Geburtstag des Priesters A. Stankewitsch gewidmet ist der Artikel „Priester Adam Stankewitsch als Fortsetzer der Sache von Franzischak Skaryna“ von I. Bagdanowitsch, Kandidatin der philologischen Wissenschaften. Im Artikel „NDF-2207“ erzählt der Restaurator A. Spunt spannend über das letzte Bild, das von dem Maler J. Damel gemalt wurde und das in den Restaurierungswerkstätten des Nationalen Kunstmuseums zu neuem Leben erweckt wurde (S. 34–37).

Die Doktorin der Kunst T. Gabrusj macht die Leserinnen und Leser im Artikel „Das Licht der Schönheit“ mit dem Bildband „Traditionelle belarussische Trachtenkleidung“ (2016) bekannt, das von M. Winnikawa und P. Bogdan zum Druck vorbereitet wurde (S. 68–69).

D. Bitschel, die bekannte belarussische Poetin, präsentiert den Leserinnen und Lesern ihren neuen Essay „Alles ist im Wort…“, in dem sie über die Wichtigkeit des Wortes und der Muttersprache reflektiert (S. 70–71).
