At the beginning of this issue you will find a number of materials devoted to the canonization of the Blessed Popes John XXIII and John Paul II, among which we placed excerpts from the encyclical of John XXIII Pacem in terris, «Testament of John XXIII», excerpts from the book by archbishop M. Mokrzycki and B. Grysiak «The Story of Holiness of John Paul II», and also an article by S. Pomykalo SJ «Communion of Saints» with John Paul II (p. 2-25).

An essay by K. Lialko «The Great Gift of Admiration» is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Cardinal K. Swiatek (p. 26–29).

I. Bagdanovich in her article «I Pray to You, Dear God» writes about Belarusian prayer poetry in the old times and today. Here you will also find a poem by Cyril of Turau «A Prayer to the Mother of God» (p. 30–31).

In the article «Eden» M. Pashuk interestingly talks about the origin of the name of the biblical garden (p. 32–34).

We also continue to publish the translation of the work by Stephan Svyazhauski «Saint Thomas, re-read», made by A. Zhlutka, Section X «The First Reason – the Secondary Reasons» (p. 35–37).

E. Liavonava in her article «I Didn’t Shed His Blood...» reflects upon the complex image of Pilate in literature (p. 38–45).

An article by A. Shpunt «Under the Dust of Oblivion» is dedicated to a little-known person fr. A. Kaviachynski (p. 46–47).

M. Skobla in his article «From Nothingness to the Red Corner» presents a book by well-known folklorist A. Lis «Selected Works» (p. 48–51).

In the column «Poetry» we placed poems by M. Duksa, A. Danilchik, U. Maroz (p. 52–57).

«The Word of Apostolic Nuncio in Belarus...» by abp C. Gugerotti and article by I. Bagdanovich «Poetic Apostolate of Rygor Baradulin» are dedicated to the memory of national poet of Belarus R. Baradulin (p. 58–63).

«Glimpse of Jesus: the Experience of Psychodrama» is the title of reflection of S. Kandrychyn on meeting man with God (p. 64).

Art historian V. Buival in the essay «St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome» writes about the world-known masterpiece of Christian architecture (p. 65–67).

Article by architect A. Yaromenka is dedicated to the Catholic churches of Astravets region (p. 68–69).

V. Buival in column «Gallery» introduces another masterpiece of art, work by Italian artist B. Strozzi „St. Peter Cures the Lame Beggar” (p. 70–71).

RESÜMEE

Diese Nummer der Zeitschrift beginnt mit einer Reihe von Materialien, die der Kanonisierung der seligen Päpste Johannes XXIII. und Johannes Paul II. gewidmet sind. Darunter befinden sich Auszüge aus der Enzyklika von Johannes XXIII. Pacem in terris, „Das Testament von Johannes XXIII.“, Auszüge aus dem Buch des Erzbischofs M. Makschyzki und B. Grysjak „Erzählung über die Heiligkeit von Johannes Paul II.“, der Artikel des Paters S. Pamykala SJ «„Die Einheit der Heiligen“ mit Johannes Paul II.» (S. 2–25).

Dem 100.Geburtstag des Kardinals K. Swjatek ist der Essay von Kristina Lialko „Die große Gabe der Begeisterung“ gewidmet (S. 26–29).

Über belarussische Gedichte-Gebete für Kinder von früher schreibt auch heute I. Bagdanowitsch im Artikel „An Dich bete ich, barmherziger Gott“. Hier befindet sich das Gedicht von Kiryla Turauski „Das Gebet an die Gottesmutter“ (S. 30–31).

Im Artikel „Eden“ reflektiert M. Paschuk über die Herkunft des Namens des biblischen Gartens (S. 32–34).

Fortgesetzt wird die Publikation von A. Shlutkas Übersetzung des Werkes von Stefan Swjashauski „Heiliger Thomas, neu gelesen“ – Abschnitt X, „Die Grundursache – die sekundären Ursachen“ (S. 35–37).

Über die komplizierte Gestalt von Pilatus in literarischen Werken reflektiert E. Ljawonawa im Artikel „Nicht ich habe Sein Blut vergossen…“ (S. 38–45).

Der Gestalt des wenig bekannten Paters A. Kawjatschynski ist der Artikel von A. Spunt „Unter dem Staub der Vergessenheit“ gewidmet (S. 46–47).

M. Skobla präsentiert den LeserInnen das Buch des bekannten Folkloristen A. Lis „Auserwähltes“ im Artikel „Aus dem Nichtsein – unter die Ikonen“ (S. 48–51).

In der Rubrik „Poesie“ befinden sich Gedichte von M. Duksa, A. Daniltschyk, U. Maros. (S. 52–57).

Dem Andenken an den Volkspoeten von Belarus R. Baradulin sind die „Worte des Apostolischen Nuntius in Belarus…“ C. Gujerotti und der Artikel von I. Bagdanowtisch „Das poetische Apostelsein von Rygor Baradulin“ gewidmet (S. 58–63).

„Der Blick Jesu: Erfahrung eines Psychodramas“ heißt die Überlegung von S. Kandrytschyn über das Treffen von Gott und Mensch (S. 64).

Der Kunstwissenschaftler W. Bujwal schreibt im Essay „Der Petersdom in Rom“ über das weltberühmte Meisterwerk der christlichen Architektur (S. 65–67).

Den katholischen Heiligtümern im Rayon Astrawez ist der gleichnamige Artikel des Architekten A. Jaromenka gewidmet (S. 68–69).

W. Bujwal macht in der Rubrik „Galerie“ die LeserInnen mit einem weiteren Meisterwerk der Weltkunst bekannt – mit dem Bild des italienischen Malers B. Strozzi „Wunder des heiligen Petrus von Alcantara“ (S. 70–71).
